2023-2024
Last year, we started the year with the involvement fair and got to know you all. Our first event of the year was a board game night with ACM, and it was very exciting to see how many of you came to play with us! We had our first JAVA Hangout of the year as well with free coffee and snacks for many STEM students. Some of our events hosted previously last year were our annual Halloween party in the Knowlton Center and we collaborated with ACM, Women of Knowlton, GAME Guild, and Anime Club.

2022-2023

During the 2022-2023 academic year, our first event was a collaborative Pizza Party and Event Planning meeting with ACM on August 31st in the Knowlton Center. It was fantastic to see everyone there!
In both September and December, we hosted our signature JAVA hangouts, which provided a relaxed environment for members and friends to stop by, chat, and enjoy free coffee and snacks. These events took place in the upstairs lounge of the Knowlton Center, where we gathered to connect and unwind. We typically aimed to hold one JAVA hangout each month.
We were also thrilled to attend the Ohio Celebration of Women in Computing (OCWIC) conference, held on February 24-25, 2023, at the Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron, OH. This two-day event featured inspiring keynote speakers from both industry and academia, along with professional talks, student presentations, Birds-of-a-Feather (BoF) sessions, workshops, resume reviews, and a career fair. The conference concluded with a fun Friday night party and games.
Additionally, throughout the year, we organized various social events in collaboration with our ACM chapter, including LAN parties and other gatherings.
